Please join us for a virtual face-to-snout meeting with Yale's own Handsome Dan XIX and his human Kassandra Haro '18! Bring your pets and your kids!
As football season gets under way, please join us for a virtual face-to-snout meeting with Yale's own Handsome Dan XIX and his human Kassandra Haro '18! Handsome Dan, also known by his given name Kingman, will entertain you with his antics and high adorability factor, while Kassandra will tell us about his rigorous work schedule, lineage, favorite treats and occasional faux pas. Bring your own dogs (and/or kids) for this special meet-and-greet and brush with fame. A family-friendly event for all.
Handsome Dan XIX, also known as Kingman, is our newest Yale mascot. Kingman is named after the late Yale president Kingman Brewster. He loves snackies, playing with his best friend Heidi (the Yale Police Department public safety service dog), and going to New Haven coffee shops for a puppaccino. You can read more about Handsome Dan’s 130-year history here, watch him charm alums at the 2021 reunions here, and follow him on social media:
Kassandra Haro is the Program Administrator and caretaker of Handsome Dan XI. She graduated from Yale's Berkeley College in 2018 with a degree in Political Science. As an undergrad she was a campus tour guide, an admissions office senior presenter, an NROTC midshipman, and worked at the Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. She has worked at the Yale Visitor Center in a professional capacity since 2018 as the center's tour coordinator.
