Enjoy a fun Sunday afternoon remote hour lesson of art making with your kid(s) with Arlette Jassel, a professional artist and art teacher. The emphasis will on design, lively art work – and fun. No drawing skills are needed. A quick introduction to cubism and other relevant art expressions followed by drawing. Magic marker technique will be shared. The cost is $25. Space is limited!
About the Event
Arlette Jassel will help parents, grandparents, and children use simple photos of themselves taken on a mobile phone to create a pose. Then the artists will be guided by their teacher through the pose as well as the translation of the pose into a contour drawing. Children express themselves further by adding geometric shapes that overlap for the background with patterns introduced for the figure and the background shapes. (Note: As this event is virtual, grandparents need not be in the same location as the child to participate, allowing for a COVID safe experience for all!)
Participants will need to purchase the below supplies prior to attending the class:
- Crayola Broad Line Markers Box of 10
- 9 x 12 [or larger] sketch pad
These can be purchased online for home delivery, and some area stores (two we checked, Home Depot and Staples) offer curbside pickup.
