Why I Serve (2-5 sentences) Yale was a life-changing experience for me.  Never had I been in such an environment that encouraged me to think outside the box, take a look at myself and the world, and determine how I can improve both.  I am forever grateful for the opportunity I had to go to Yale, and serving the Yale alumni community is one way I am showing that gratitude.

Brief bio (4-6 sentences)

As Director of International Trade at the Organic Trade Association, Monique manages OTA's international portfolio strategizing market access, market promotion, trade policy, and technical assistance projects for OTA and the organic industry.  Since joining OTA in the summer of 2014, Monique has led activities in  13 countries resulting in more than $35,000,000 in export sales since January 2015. Monique graduated from Yale University with an undergraduate degree in Ethics, Politics, Economics, and International Studies.  She has a master’s degree from New York University in Food Systems.
