2007 Yale Club Year In Review
In September, the Yale Club took the lead in welcoming DC Mayor Adrian Fenty to an all-Ivy alumni forum to discuss District education and community issues. The mayor is seen below with Yale Club Treasurer Jack Reinhold '78.

Each July, the Young Alums welcome the new graduating class with a cookout. This year the Class of 2007 was welcomed at the home of Board Member Katie Troutman '02, pictured lower right. Pictured lower left, Program Chair Tony Cotto '03 and club member Chelsea Kanyer '06 reminisce about their first arrivals in DC.

Ensuring that education never ends, Club members were treated to academic discussions by distinguished journalists, scholars, and policymakers this year. Among the highlights were the Annual dinner, where we welcomed Yale Prof. Bruce Russett and receptions with Tom Ricks '77 and Paul Krugman '64. For a full listing of our 2007 events and upcoming 2008 events, see the events calendar.

Throughout the year, Club members participated in monthly Community Service activities around Washington. Here Jacques Ntonme '05 and Maria Muller '05 are seen packaging food for the needy at Food & Friends.

Finally, we ensured that the arts were not forgotten. Club members were treated to special ticket opportunities at the Kennedy Center, family shows at the Imagination Stage, a Cole Porter tribute concert at the Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, and our annual Yale Club Music Jamboree featuring alumni and student singing groups.
