Changing Perceptions: Recent Research and Excavation in the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site

Nick Card will speak about his seven years' excavation of a remarkable ceremonial complex, the Ness of Brodgar, in the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site, northern Scotland.
This event will be a presentation and discussion of technical methods in archaeology and of the larger context of new discoveries. Geophysical scanning, fieldwork, historical background, architecture, trade networks, artworks and artifacts are all woven into this interactive evening with a 30-year veteran of European Neolithic excavations and an acknowledged expert in the field.
